Oh, to be a blogstar!
Yet that requires an audience.
Which is where
(for me)
the problems start…
But I’m taking a festive break, from sad poetry, this week.
To celebrate the role models and supporters, who have enhanced my time on WordPress.
Role models
Blogging guru Cristian Mihai is a great source of advice. ( Though I don’t know how he producesΒ so much high-quality content, while also finding time to eat and sleep!)
Poet stars!
First to enchant me with her words was Candice Louisa Daquin atΒ The Feathered Sleep .
Next came
Tosha Michelle at Everything I Never Told You .
River Dixon at The Stories In Between .
Linda R Davis at Bits of Poetry .
Miriam E at Another Wandering Soul .
Devika Mathur at My Valiant Soul .
Art stars!
Josephine R Unglaub at Lemanshots .
Mike Campbell at bongdoogle doodles .
Stalwarts!
These are the most vital people of all.
Without their continued support I might have lost heart long ago, and given up blogging.
By liking my work over an extended period, they encouraged me to go on.
River dixon, Josephine R Unglaub, and Mike Campbell are already linked, above.
Thus I shall begin the section with:
Wendi at Simply Chronically Ill .
(Those two ladies are my “Comment Queens”.
Their feedback has been very valuable.)
Other important stalwarts include:
Gary J Steele at outofwak (artworldwar) .
Pooja Gudka at lifesfinewhine .
Luna at lunaiswriting .
Megan O’Keeffe at Debatably Dateable .
V at MillennialLifeCrisis .
Claudia at Between the lines .
Peter Edwards at Little Fears .
JoΓ£o-Maria at Caliath .
Chris Nicholas at The Renegade press .
Michelle Nguyen at elleguyence .
Caralyn at BeautyBeyondBones .
Larisa at Ebony and Crows .
Yassy at Yaskhan .
Yazzeus at ALYAZYA .
Tetiana Aleksina at Unbolt me .
(THANK YOU, ALL!)
I hope readers will discover a new blog to enjoy, on my list.
Lots of writers could be added, but I won’t make this post too large.
(If I’ve left you out, please mention yourself in the comment section.
Or cite your own favourites.)
Feedback is always welcome.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! π π»
(Art on the blog is mine.)
Thank you for reading.
(PS, I shall be spending the 28th Xmas alone in my room, due to chronic illness.
It would be nice hearing from anybody else on WordPress. π)

It’s just a small response, compared to all those likes you have given me! π
(Sorry for the delayed reply:
My notifications somehow turned themselves off(?).
I was delighted to find your comments when I logged back in. π )

Oh thatβs okay, Iβve not been as active on my blog, so my responses have been delayed as well. Alas, I am definitely not the next Mariah Carey, but itβs all about the spirit of the thing, isnβt it?
The pleasure is all mine, Ken π

Thank you, Wendi!
I hope you are enjoying your holiday.
(Though my poems are missing you already.)
I had not realised you would not be on WordPress until February? Oh dear! π
It will be so depressing, not finding any of your lovely comments, for such a long time. π

I am honoured to see you here. Your poetry is of such high quality. π β¨
(And I have never found a poet with a greater following. A wonderful achievement!)
Apologies for the delayed reply: For some unknown reason WordPress hid your comment in the spam(?). π
It appears to do that randomly, so I’ve started to look there more often.

Dearest Ken, I came to this late, and appreciate you letting me know, as I miss quite a bit here that I regret not seeing.
I love your idea of appreciating bloggers.
Thank you for including me in this list.
When I first began blogging at http://www.livejournal.com some years ago, I wrote daily but mostly in a journal form. When I began with wordpress I wrote daily but mostly poems.
Since I got sick in 2017 it has gone from daily to weekly.
You wrote that you felt you were a failure on WP presumably for not writing more frequently? I would argue that a ‘good’ writer if such a thing really exists outside of speculation and opinion and momentum, would be someone who is true to thy self, and that isn’t about how often they post. Some of the best writers in the world have only written one or two books. Some writers write tons of books but I don’t like any of them. So it’s not quantity my friend, it’s definitely quality.
Just be yourself. I think that is how you succeed.
Very glad to know you here and to read you here. Forgive me for my remiss in reading this late but I am extremely grateful and I wish you and yours a lovely 2020 with much faith in you and your writing and thoughts.
Candice xx

Thank you, Candice!
It’s such an honour to see you in my comment section. π
I agree with everything you say.
Though my sense of “failure” is mainly in terms of being unable to grow an audience.
Or write well enough to stimulate comments.
Feelings that I will never be very popular: lacking the ability to inspire affection in others.
(I don’t actually worry about posting more often. Like you, I tend to prefer writers, who focus on quality.)
(Also, I’m painfully aware of my inferior understanding around the technical side of blogging.
Having a bare site, compared to more attractive ones, such as yours.
Still viewing myself as knowing so little compared to others.)
When it came to inclusion in the piece, your place was assured, Candice.
As soon as concieving the idea for this post, I wanted to begin the Poet Stars list with you. β¨
Thank you, for dropping by,
and for your generous response.
